- 17 Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching.
- 18 For the Scripture says, “You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” And in another place, “Those who work deserve their pay!”
Ministry Overview
The Pastor’s Aide Ministry is dedicated to providing spiritual, financial, and emotional support to our Pastor, Dr. James E. Pate, Jr., and his family.
We express our appreciation for Dr. Pate through special events and celebrations such as his birthday, Father’s Day, and his Pastoral Anniversary. Our mission is to help lighten our Pastor’s load so that he may focus fully on his spiritual calling and service to God’s people.
Each member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church is encouraged to become an official member of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry and join us in uplifting our Pastor through prayer, encouragement, and acts of kindness.
